Oh I wish, could I go there,
Up In kingdom of clouds where the sun flares.
A kingdom of white above in air,
Oh I wish, I could get there.
All I saw were clouds in white,
Some stood cumulus others were bright.
Whitish clouds became happily orange,
when rays of sun passed through them.
And there were black of them too,
Hid the sun; and war was due,
Between the clouds who strove to burst;
With drops of rain as the wind blew.
King of clouds sat on throne,
Led to entrance where a road,
Guided the path to the heaven,
A place where every human wished to go.
Oh I wonder how heaven would be;
Would it be beautiful than earth could be?
Pinkish clouds merged with orange, a dusk on earth;
made it magnificent and alluring,
People of kingdom of white do wonder; how dusk would be,
On the planet of Earth which was all blue and green.
Oh they wish they could go there;
To the world of Earth; the nature existed where.
They wondered, how it would be,
the beauty of mountains, plains and rivers;
which for them was unseen.
They looked down to see if they could come here,
We looked up to see whether we could go in air.
But the desire of them to visit the kingdom of one another,
broke shattered, when they realized,
the absence of stairs,
For the kingdom of white to come down and for us to go there.
FROM THE POEM
In this poem, clouds are personified where they
wish to come down on Earth to see the
beautiful dusk on Earth along with it's natural beauty. Human
beings on the other hand wish to go up to see
the clouds and the way to heaven. This poem
signifies the desire of the people to have something
which they don't and can never have.
Though both the kingdoms of clouds and Earth are beautiful,
still, they remain unsatisfied with the beauty in their world and desire to visit each other's place where they can never go due to the absence of stairs between Earth and Sky.
Even after having something which fulfils our needs, we wish to have more.
