On every channel, only one news was being telecasted.
“The wife of the criminal Peter Alvin who was an FBI spy is nowhere to be found. It is said that she owned a café in the mountains. But what could be the reason for her to open a café up there? Moreover, the cameras outside her café were checked. She was seen sitting in a car and the car disappeared. Exactly after 30 minutes, she came back sitting in the same car. And it was recorded in the camera that her car hit the railing. After that, the camera went off. The police department investigated the place and the car was present at the same place in a broken condition. But, the body-”
And the light went off so the TV.
“Damn it….” Sighed Isabelle in frustration.
“Isabelle, I guess you should listen to me now. It’s something really important. Peter Alvin’s case-”
Catherine’s phone rang. She was irritated but this time, she had to pick up the call because it was from the call centre of FBI department. She excused herself and picked up the phone.
“What- How is this even possible? Boss, I do understand but the servers were locked, right? Okay, I’ll be there within 10 minutes.” Said Catherine and hung up. “Isabelle come, let’s go.” Said Catherine explaining the scenarios to Isabelle.
Both of them went out of their house, locked it, reached the parking, sat in the car, and drove off. Some cars passed off the roads but the roads were almost empty. They drove the car at high speed to reach as soon as it was possible. After ten minutes, Catherine stopped the car at the red signal. She rested her elbow on the steering with her fingers kept on her forehead as it was a long red light.
“Hey Catherine, look at that person, how fast is she running?” said Isabelle. Catherine looked up only to see a woman covered in all black running as fast as she could. She wore a long knee-length black coat, black jeans, and a black mask on her face. She wore Round specs and her hair tied into a pony. She had wrapped a grey muffler around her neck and her head.
“Doesn’t she gives serial killer vibes, like she murdered someone and is running to escape?” Said Isabelle.
“Shut up… Stop joking. Seems familiar” Catherine said. But, what caught Catherine’s eyes was the woman’s waist. Both of them flinched when they heard a car horning at the back since the signal had turned to green. Catherine started the car and reached the headquarters.
